Q.  Key is hard to get in and out of lock or hard to turn ?

A.  Before calling for service try lubricating lock with WD40.   Spray

directly into key hole and into latch on edge of door.

 

Q. Key  will not come out of lock ?

A. This problem usually indicates a loose tail piece.  Push in on the center

 round portion that key goes into and pull key out.  Cylinder tail piece will

have to be tightened to prevent problem.

 

Q. Dial operated safe will not open ?

A. It is possible combination has slipped.  Try dialling  safe adding one number

to combo or subtracting one number from combo.  Combination should be reset so it does not slip further.

 

Q. Electronic safe will not open?

A. Before calling for service replace battery and try again.  Check new battery to be sure it is good.

 

Q. Can my locks be changed?

A.  Most locks can be re keyed so old key does not fit and only new  keys will work the lock.  If you have more than two locks it is usually cheaper to re key than to replace locks.

 

Q. Some of the keys work good, some do not?

A.  Probably you have worn or miss cut keys.  Have new keys made from one that works good, at a locksmith store.
